I take Wellbutrin XL, and lately I’ve been feeling ill while on it. Some of the symptoms I have are dizziness, nausea, fatigue, pounding heartbeat, jerky movements, and a general feeling of being ill.
The symptoms are worse especially after exercise.
Could these be symptoms of high blood pressure?
Yes one possible side effect of Wellbutrin XL is high blood pressure.
You need to discuss these symptoms with your doctor. It could be related to the medication, or a different medication, or something else. Also, consulting a pharmacist would be a good idea.
Considering that my symptoms originated as a hereditary condition and I’m in need of continuous medication. My diet and exercise are quite adequate and I’m in fact an active person but my high bp can bog me down at times. I do my daily prayers and meditation but it just seem to ‘remain’ there lingering and sudden stress can cause my pressure to rocket pretty high (which is bad for my heart).
Regular symptoms includes headaches, sleepiness (I can understand as I lack sleep sometimes), feeling of fatigue, stress, shortness of breath (as if the intake of ‘fresh air’ is not enough to fill my lungs) and swelling of glands behind my neck.
Thanks in advance ![]()
Rather than impose disease, let’s talk about wellness. Genetic dispositions of what someone may get is not necessarily written in stone.
You support the immune system, the endocrine system, the defense system, the autonomic nervous system, and the elimination system.
All these systems, when supported, have been shown to reverse the biomarkers of aging, and reduce symptoms of disease. Because, cells are making copies of you over and over again, providing the proper nutritional tools creates better copies of yourself.
Your body already has the blue print in your DNA and RNA of the cell to repair and prevent inflammatory responses. However, when you don’t have the proper nutritional tools, that is when your genetic disposition is vulnerable.
The explanation, is that we live in the age of green harvesting. All of the things that cover each system of the body for proper cell function and cellular restoration are in plant foods. The bottom line is that we have a symbiotic relationship with plants.
Unfortunately, we live in the age of green harvesting. Due to this problem, the affect has been an increase in modern diseases.
The immune system needs specific sugars for cellular communication, phytochemicals (pigment of fruits and vegetables) for cellular repair and defense, phytosterols in many plant foods to support the endocrine system, etc… Which are not plentiful in plants picked early. Plants need the sun to form these crucial molecules to support each system of the body before they are picked.
The soil is also deficient. We need vitamin/minerals in food form from the whole plant in order to recognize how to utilize these micro nutrients for proper functioning of the autonomic nervous system. The heart, lungs, digestion, etc.
The main thing that stops up public portable bathrooms, (portapotties) are Centrum vitamin/minerals. They do not digest. So, people are essentially supplementing with rocks.
We are designed to get it from the leaf of a plant.
Lastly, the elimination system. It requires the proper bacteria that help to break down specific carbohydrates for the immune system. When people take fat blocking pills to lose weight, they are blocking essential fatty acids known to reverse heart disease.
The elimination system also needs specific enzymes and these digestive enzymes and systemic enzymes are what signal cells to replace new tissues. When not enough of these enzymes, aging increases. Anti inflammatory drugs, such as IB Profin are enzyme inhibitors. These drugs mask pain, but they prevent regeneration of tissues, thus increasing problems later on.
Eating right and supplementing with whole food form scientifically validated micro nutrients and exercise will allow the body to function in a balanced state. When there is balance, there simply isn’t any more room for disease.
Message me for a web link on the optimal health program I recommend.
I have spinal stenosis, cervical radiculopathy and herniated discs. After I stopped the traction at PT (my insurance stopped paying).
I started to get really intense headaches.
Now my blood pressure is really high
160/110 and my doc said it is from the pain.
Does pain cause your BP to go up like that?
yes pain can cause your b/p and your pulse to rise. high b/p can also cause you to have a head ache. i would try going to see a chiropractor.
I am going to MEPS this weeks for the army. Some times my blood pressure will shoot up when I am nervous. Will this fail me if it is a little high? Some times it will go up to 140/75 or 135/75. Thanks.
It shouldn’t fail you depending on what MOS your going into.

The higher number is the "Systolic blood pressure." This is the pressure when your heart is pumping blood into arteries.
The lower number is the "Diastolic blood pressure." This is the resting pressure when the heart is not pumping.
I have had higher blood pressure for a few years now. I’ve come to terms with it. When I had my first OB visit (interview) they checked it because they were prepared to put me on meds that day if it was as high as it usually is. It was 140/80 that day. She said it wasn’t great, but it wasn’t anything they were going to worry about yet. That was two weeks ago. Today I went for an ultrasound and they checked my BP again to monitor it. It was 120/78 which is damn near perfect for a BP reading.
Does anyone know why it would have changed so drastically? Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy about it.. But I’m wondering if the reading was possibly inaccuate for some reason. I didn’t see my OB today, it was just a nurse who did my BP reading after my ultrasound so she could chart it for my doctor.
I guess I don’t mean why "would" it have gone down. I really mean why "could" it have gone down so much.
Pregnancy can cause your blood pressure to go down. Like everything else, it has to do with all the hormonal changes.
My BPs have fluctuated wildly since I got pregnant. I’m usually always around 110/70, but I had a few high readings early in pregnancy because I was so nervous that something would go wrong. Now that I’m 26w with a healthy baby, my BPs are back to normal. You know your history–let your doctors know if you have problems. I got a lot of weird looks when my BPs were high, but when I explained that my BPs are consistently low at home when I check them myself, and that I’m particularly nervous in the office, my doctors haven’t worried about the BPs since.
Can you monitor yours at home? Keep an eye on it–if it stays in the healthy range (120/80 or lower) then let your doc know. If you are creeping higher, it might be best to report it for your health and the health of the baby. In the meantime, the drop in BP is normal in pregnancy, so I wouldn’t worry about it being an inaccurate reading.
Have you recently went through a difficult break up? There are a lot of people that just give up and wait for their own death to come. The pain and agnst that they feel will leave them crippled for years to come. Don’t give up on getting back your ex
Hopefully you will not be one of those persons that ends up broken and trampled. My wish is to be able to allow you to be one of those that is able to get their ex back.
tip Number 1 That you need to begin getting your brain back to where it belongs. Even though I do not like to brag, I had been quite a heart breaker before I was married. There have been a ton of guys that have come after me acting like a crazy fool. They have shown up at my house during the night or sent me text that said they were driving by. This does not feel flattering at all. It feels more like they are stalking me. I have always felt less than comfortable getting back together with a person or even seeing them out about out when they act like this.
Your ex thinking you are a crazy stalker – trust me! It is not going to work out for you if you do this. Make sure to give yourself enough time to think. Get your head on straight. Don’t go crazy on your ex. Don’t give up on getting back with your ex
advice Number 2 that I am going to show you is stop contacting your ex. Yes, this goes along with the tip above. It is not because they are thinking you are crazy though. There is something else in mind for this tip.
By not contacting or calling your ex constantly, they will be able to think of you more and more. They will be wondering why you are not calling them and stalking them. They are not used to not having your attention.Believe it or not they will begin to miss you.
If you give your ex some time to think about you and miss you, it will be much more likely that you will be getting back with your ex. Do not skip this step because our long term goal is to get your ex back. It is very important even though it might seem very difficult.
word of advice Number 3 that I need to show you is that you should be a fun person to be around. Have you ever been around someone that just gives you joy and has fun? You probably said that you had to go back and hang out again or that you had a nice time. Even if it was just as a friend you want to make your ex reflect and say these same things.
If you are ready to get down to work I would suggest that you get try this 6 step proven method. Since it’s 100% guaranteed – you have nothing to lose!

Hemorrhoids are enlarged veins in the anus or lower rectum. They often go unnoticed and usually clear up after a few days, but can cause long-lasting discomfort, bleeding and be excruciatingly painful. Effective medical treatments are available, however.
Hemorrhoids involve the blood vessels that line the anus. Pressure on the walls of the rectum weakens the muscles that support the hemorrhoidal vessels. They then become enlarged and lose their support and result in a sac-like protrusion inside the rectal canal (called internal hemorrhoids) or under the skin around the anus (called external hemorrhoids)
Hemorrhoids can occur in people of any age and sex. Occurrence of Hemorrhoids is related to a number of factors. Some of the main factors responsible for the onset of hemorrhoids include poor bowel movement habits, eating habits, abdominal disorders, workplace atmosphere (physical exertion like lifting heavy items, continuous sitting, workplace temperature) etc.
There are two types of Hemorrhoids based on their location:
External Hemorrhoids:
External hemorrhoids develop near the anal opening which is covered by sensitive skin. A patient suffering from external hemorrhoids experiences a hard, sensitive lump that bleeds on rupture.
Internal Hemorrhoids:
Internal hemorrhoids lie inside the anus or lower rectum, beneath the anal or rectal lining. Rectal bleeding is the most common symptom of internal hemorrhoids. You may notice bright red streaks of blood on toilet paper or bright red blood in the toilet bowl after having a normal bowel movement. When hemorrhoids remain inside the anus they are almost never painful, but they can prolapse (protrude outside the anus) and become irritated and sore.
Symptoms
Although many people have hemorrhoids, not all experience symptoms. The most common symptom of internal hemorrhoids is bright red blood covering the stool, on toilet paper, or in the toilet bowl. However, an internal hemorrhoid may protrude through the anus outside the body, becoming irritated and painful. This is known as a protruding hemorrhoid.
External hemorrhoids can cause painful symptoms. An acute thrombosis of the subcutaneous hemorrhoidal vein can occur. Acute thrombosis is usually the result of a specific event (e.g., rigorous physical activity, straining with constipation, diarrhea, or reduced fiber in the diet). Pain results when the clot and surrounding edema cause rapid swelling of skin containing a high concentration of nerve endings. This pain can last for one to two weeks, depending on the length of time it takes for the resolution of the thrombosis. At that time, the stretched anoderm remains as excess skin (often referred to as “skin tags”). External thromboses can sometimes erode the outer layer of skin, which can cause bleeding.

The need to lower cholesterol arises because the presence of excess cholesterol in blood serum can lead to a whole range of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. These diseases include high blood pressure, narrowing and hardening of arteries, heart disease, stroke, and paralysis.
These diseases spring up because the liver dumps excess cholesterol on the inner arterial walls. Later, these fatty deposits harden up to form a plaque, thus narrowing the arteries and obstructing blood flow to the heart and other organs. Other diseases can also result if the affected arteries normally supply blood to organs other than the heart and brain.
The good news, however, is that it is possible to lower cholesterol simply by making some therapeutic lifestyle changes (TLC) and following a healthy TLC diet. In fact, these measures are the first line of defense against hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol). If the TLC measures don’t reduce your cholesterol level enough, then your doctor could prescribe cholesterol-lowering drugs like statins.
The most important lifestyle changes you must make to lower your cholesterol are:
Reduce excess body weight
Exercise regularly
Follow the TLC diet
Quit smoking
Excess body weight because of obesity not only increases the overall cholesterol level but also reduces the protective HDL (high-density lipoproteins) cholesterol, making the problem of high cholesterol worse. HDL is responsible for the transport of excess cholesterol from the tissues and arteries back to the liver for breakdown and disposal and therefore some people call it the good cholesterol.
Regular physical activity, especially aerobics, plays a twofold role in lowering cholesterol. First, it reduces obesity; second, it increases the HDL level. In other words, fat loss causes a drop in the total cholesterol, and your body does a better job of lowering your cholesterol because of the higher HDL level. A moderate-intensity aerobic activity like walking, cycling, dancing or swimming for 30-40 minutes, 5 days a week is an effective way to lower cholesterol.
Your diet plays a direct role in keeping your cholesterol levels. The richer the diet is in cholesterol, saturated fats and trans fats, the higher will be the cholesterol levels. While the liver makes most of the cholesterol in your body, cholesterol that comes from the foods you eat does play an important role.
In fact, for many people, a diet rich in soluble fiber and omega-3 fatty acids, when combined with regular exercise, can just as effectively lower cholesterol as do statin drugs. You would normally get these healthy nutrients from like oats, walnuts, almonds, fresh fruits and vegetables, beans, whole grains, cold-water fish, olive oil, peanut oil, and canola oil. On the other hand, this diet would exclude red meats, alcohol, fried foods, whole-cream dairy products, refined foods, and commercial bakery items.
Today, everyone knows smoking causes a whole range of deadly diseases affecting almost every organ of the body. Smoking is a major cause of cardiovascular diseases because of its role in hardening of the arteries and reducing HDL levels. So, quitting smoking will not only lower your cholesterol levels and raise the HDL level, it will also reduce the risk of getting other deadly diseases.
It is perhaps better to have several different avenues to lower cholesterol because high cholesterol could show up for different reasons in different people. So, you could, in addition, also resort to natural remedies like Guggul, Pantethine, Beta-Sitosterol, Policosanol, Curcumin, red yeast rice, and so on. You can get these supplements at health food stores at a lower price compared to prescription drugs.

Appendicitis (or epityphlitis) is a condition characterized by inflammation of the appendix. All cases require removal of the inflamed appendix, either by laparotomy or laparoscopy. Untreated, mortality is high, mainly due to peritonitis and shock.[1] Reginald Fitz first described acute appendicitis in 1886,[2] and it has been recognized as one of the most common causes of acute abdomen pain worldwide.
Appendicitis is a medical emergency that requires prompt surgery to remove the appendix. Left untreated, an inflamed appendix will eventually burst, or perforate, spilling infectious materials into the abdominal cavity. This can lead to peritonitis, a serious inflammation of the abdominal cavity’s lining (the peritoneum) that can be fatal unless it is treated quickly with strong antibiotics.
Causes of Appendicitis
The cause of appendicitis relates to blockage of the inside of the appendix, known as the lumen. The blockage leads to increased pressure, impaired blood flow, and inflammation. If the blockage is not treated, gangrene and rupture (breaking or tearing) of the appendix can result.
An obstruction. Food waste or a hard piece of stool (fecal stone) can become trapped in an orifice of the cavity that runs the length of your appendix.
An infection. Appendicitis may also follow an infection, such as a gastrointestinal viral infection, or it may result from other types of inflammation.
Symptoms of Appendicitis
The symptoms of appendicitis vary. It can be hard to diagnose appendicitis in young children, the elderly, and women of childbearing age.
Typically, the first symptom is pain around your belly button. (See: abdominal pain.) The pain may be vague at first, but becomes increasingly sharp and severe. You may have reduced appetite, nausea, vomiting, and a low-grade fever.
The symptoms of appendicitis can vary according to a child’s age. In kids 2 years old or younger, the most common symptoms are vomiting and a bloated or swollen abdomen, accompanied by pain.
Early symptoms are often hard to separate from other conditions including gastroenteritis (an inflammation of the stomach and intestines). Many people admitted to the hospital for suspected appendicitis leave the hospital with a diagnosis of gastroenteritis; true appendicitis is often mis-diagnosed as gastroenteritis initially.
You have pain in any part of your belly or on your side.
You feel nauseated or throw up a few times. You also may not feel like eating.
You have constipation, back pain, a slight fever, or a swollen abdomen.
Treatment of Appendicitis
The surgery that corrects appendicitis, called an appendectomy, is a procedure with relatively little risk. Normally, the patient stays in the hospital for less than a week and can usually count on being back to a normal routine in three weeks. Many surgeons are performing laparoscopic appendectomy in which the appendix is removed through three small incisions (less than half an inch long) using special instruments and a special camera. With laparoscopic appendectomy, most patients can go home within 24 hours of the operation.
