so at work ( i work at a pharmacy) we have a blood pressure machine so the last two times ive been working ive decided to check mine. the first time it was 136/82 and then second time it was 132/76. According to the chart on the machine i wasn’t in the normal range, i was above normal. Is this something i should be worried about. Every time i go to the doctor and they take mine the nurse is always like "oh thats a little high…." tell me what you think.
I am 20 years old, i am 5′6" and weigh 125lbs so I am not overweight or anything. I do not smoke or anything and as far as I know…there is no history of high blood pressure in my family.
I’d say your doctor is the person most qualified to make this judgment. High blood pressure can be associated with other diseases like diabetes or be sign of high cholesterol. If you are sure you are otherwise healthy, I wouldn’t lose sleep over it but again, check with your doctor who is familiar with your medical history/details.

The first number is when your heart beats, the second number is when your heart is at rest, imbetween beats. The important one is the second number. If it is over 100 go to a doctor.Normal reading is 120/80 as a guide.

Yes. That is slightly elevated. I would call your doctor about it and ask. It’s definitely not normal for you to have elevated blood pressure all the time… and being overweight really has nothing to do with it. You can be very thin and have high blood pressure.
But back to the topic… call your doctor.
EDIT – according to the American Heart Association, you’re suffering from "Prehypertension"

For ur age, it appears to little high. It shud 120/80. See if cutting out salt intake helps.
Eat only when hungry and not more than three times a day. Include plenty of vegetables and fruits in ur food. Eat slow, chewing each morsel at least 32 times. This activates ur body to send signals that u have enough. No snacks or drinks in between except water.
Take light exercises and walking for about 30 min every day preferably twice a day.
Be patient to see the results in hassle free mode in reasonable time.
This regime cud be continued even after achieving the target to maintain a healthy body.
