I am going to MEPS this weeks for the army. Some times my blood pressure will shoot up when I am nervous. Will this fail me if it is a little high? Some times it will go up to 140/75 or 135/75. Thanks.

It shouldn’t fail you depending on what MOS your going into.

It should not fail you.145/75 and 135/75 it is not bad. As you see the second number is always consistent. Your systolic blood pressure is on the high side of normal, and your diastolic reading is totally normal. Everybody knows that nervousness makes BP going up. A BP reading of 135/75 isn’t high; it is within normal readings for an adult.

    Take care as always!
