Absolutely! I am a type 2 diabetic with fantastic blood pressure scores. I am obese so when I see a new nurse, they always take it twice because they can’t believe the first reading. My doctor always sends any new nurse from his office in to take my vitals just to show them that they can’t use appearance to determine health. Yes, I have diabetes but my cholesterol and blood pressure are very good. Just for those who will write about my need to lose weight: I’m working on the weight, it took me 40 years to put it on, my doctor wants it to come off slow and steady as it has been for the past year.

Blood pressure and Diabetes are two different things and do not have anything to do with eachother.

Yes it is, if you manage your diabetes and high blood pressure well with any required medications, the correct diet, and adequate excercise. There’s no reason not to unless there are other health issues that you didn’t disclose.
It’s all about finding the right balance. Ask for a referral to a registered dietician. They can make some great diet plans for you, based on your likes and dislikes and lifestyle. They will find the right amount of allowable sodium for you to have and help you balance your sugars.
If you at least take a really good walk every day, you should make some good headway into controlling these two potentially dangerous conditions.
I’m hoping you do realize the risks of not taking care of yourself. You could damage your kidneys and eventually require dialysis which is really tough. There’s a diet I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Those at highest risk of renal (kidney) failure are diabetics and those who don’t control their blood pressure so you want to be very careful with your health.

Yes. Diabetes is the level of glucose within the blood. Blood pressure is simply that…the pressure the blood puts against the walls of our blood vessels. Too much pressure causes damage to the walls. Two totally different conditions.
