i just got my blood taken and I had a 17.1 iron level. They said I needed at least 12.5 to donate. is 17.1 good? What is the scale.
Also, my blood pressure was 118/64. I am an 18 year old male. Is that healthy? Thanks.
Hi dude… The values u are giving does not correlate with each other…
–> The iron level cannot be 17.1, Its should probably be Hemoglogin estimate… And 17.1 is absolutely normal for ur age and sex, AND u can normally donate ur blood.. There is no contra indication for this…
—> U yourselves think over, 17.1 is absolutely more than 12.5 and wen u have more than 12.5 u can donate blood, that u have only told, So whatever ur blood reports are absolutely normal.. Do not worry..
—> And regarding ur Blood pressure, its also absolutely normal for ur age and sex.. There is no reason to bother about this..
U are HEALTHY… Take care…
