I’m a sixteen year old overweight female , my blood Pressure gets high sometime. Does it take years for high blood pressure to cause heart attack? I think I have heart disease but my doctor says I’m fine , I had a EKG done six months ago and it was normal.

Blood pressure goes up and down. Depending on the time of day, anxiety, stress fluid intake etc.
Sustained high blood pressure can over years cause damage to all the important body organs.
IF THE DOCTOR SAYS you are okay. You are Very unlikely for you to have a heart Attack at your age.
However you need to start working on it now to prevent future problems.
Start an exercise program. Start slow and increase slowly. Eat a well rounded diet in smaller amounts. Avoid fast foods. Drink plenty of fluids (not sugary drinks) and get the appropriate amount of sleep.
Take care

Yes it does. But everyone is different. At your age its very rare to have a heart attack unless you were born with a congenital heart defect (since birth) As high blood pressure damages arteries Making plaque easier to lodge into there. Causing heart attacks and strokes and Damaging other organs

A heart attack is serious and if you think you are having one seek medical attention immediately. Cardiovascular disease is a broad term used to describe a range of diseases that affect your heart or blood vessels. The term cardiovascular disease is often used interchangeably with heart disease because both terms refer to diseases of the heart or arteries. I would recommend this community to discuss heart related issues on the web at http://www.cardiovasculardiseases.org
