I look online to see what the symptoms of high blood pressure and both diastolic and systolic should be high simultaneously. Does anyone have some insight or a link to information that could clear up any misconceptions I may have?
About me, I am in very good shape. I am 6 foot, weight about 172 and am at 4.6 % body fat. This is why I am confused. . . Thanks guys!
This is a tricky situation – you have what is called isolated systolic hypertension, and you also have diastolic hypotension. This is not a healthy blood pressure. The biggest concern is probably your diastolic pressure – its way too low, while the systolic pressure is only slightly elevated. You may have some type of leakage in a heart valve, or a pulse rate that’s too low, a thyroid problem, chronically dehydrated, or have side effects from some sort of medication. You might consider making an appointment with a cardiologist.

hey look………i have contacted a doctor abt ur prob…………welll…. according to him, there is no need to worry……148+ is kinda normal at ur age………its just that ur PULSE PRESSURE is low…….it means that u have low BLOOD PRESSURE…………..so just try to eat things which have less salt in them…………and yes………EXERCISE regularly ( thats a personal advice )………….sooooo……………… god bless u……….byeee…………tccccc

The big gap in systolic and diastolic pressure may be due to some heart problem. Aortic regurgitation is one of the causes. Get an echo cardiogram that will rule out any heart abnormality.
